Front Desk
We’re looking for energetic, outgoing individuals who love answering phones, greeting and assisting visitors, and clerical work such as taking membership applications and class registrations, gift shop sales, and general office support. Get a taste of everything we do and put that smile to work as the first face visitors see when they visit the Alliance!
Office Administration
Are you The Tech Friend? Or maybe even just someone who has a decent knowledge about computer programs and wants to use those skills to support the arts? This opportunity includes assisting the staff on an ad hoc basis primarily with computer data entry assignments. Knowledge of Word, Excel and internet usage required. Instruction will be provided on Alliance customized programs. Techies and non-Techies welcome to apply.
Exhibition Openings
If you’ve always wanted to work the MET Gala, but haven’t had the opportunity, we’ve got the next best thing. The Alliance hosts openings in our main art gallery once a month on Fridays from 5‐7pm. Volunteer opportunities include catering (pick‐up or shopping for food), arranging food trays, tending bar, gift shop and art sales, and visitors meet and greet. Exhibition opening volunteers have a double advantage: support the arts AND show your friends how creative and cultured you are!
Special Events
There are numerous cultural events around the Alliance campus throughout the year, day time and evening, weekday and weekends. While each event is unique, there are some basic volunteer opportunities common to most, including: meet and greet, ticket sales, theater ushering, gift shop sales, concession sales, plus putting up fences and parking assistance at outdoor events.
Community Relations
Bring your business cards, your best outfit, and your creative spirit and get involved beyond the Alliance by making local connections as a representative of the arts! This opportunity entails representing the Alliance at off‐site events including booth coverage at public art shows such as ArtFest Fort Myers, Spring Art Affair at Bell Tower, and assisting at other community outreach programs.
Special Projects
Ad hoc projects requiring specialized skills such as survey/market research occur regularly.
Internships
Join the clan of crazy and creative for a semester or more of learning, creating, and connecting. Student Internships are available to students studying the fields of event planning, marketing, communications and public relations. These are unpaid positions, but the experience and connections that are made are invaluable!
